Ivy is our amazing F1b Bordoodle. An “F1b is defined as 1/3 Border Collie and 2/3 poodle. On the poodle side, Ivy’s father is from a non-related reputable breeder who disclosed the added benefit of the one-time infusion of a Bernese Mountain Dog (BMD)” 5 generations ago. Upon conducting our own DNA testing on Ivy, we found there to be approximately 5% Bernese Mountain Dog (BMD). This means that any breeding of Ivy to another Bordoodle should result in approximately 2% to 3% “BMD” in her offspring. This small infusion produces Bordoodles with amazing colors and tri-color markings while still maintaining the expected Bordoodle temperament and physical makeup.
